What we do

“We present fine art as entertainment.”

New to the Shanghai scene, Dyce Productions is a voluntary collaboration of local artists, designers, writers, performers, and musicians. We at Dyce Productions, encourage cooperation and dialogue between individual artists, community residents, businesses, and organizations, while providing artists the medium to gain exposure and showcase their talents. As an open group, we welcome artists who are committed to community development and dedicated to making the city of Shanghai a cooler and more creative place to be.

Our history:

Dyce (in collaboration with 280 Studios Boston) came together in 2002 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA. In the 8 years we have been in existence we have produced seven artist battles, ten fashion shows, four snowboarding competitions, and countless gallery exhibitions throughout the USA.   We strive to draw a diverse audience to our events.

Dyce is determined to create a positive feedback loop.  We produce large-scale art events in an effort to strengthen the artistic community, to strengthen the relationship between business and artist, to strengthen the relationship between business and community in an effort to create an urban market for locally produced art.  Having hosted successful events in Boston, New York, Detroit, and Grand Rapids; Dyce Productions feels that it will make a positive contribution to Shanghai culture.

Dyce Productions is the collaborative effort of an active organizing committee headed up by, Bree Harrison, Psydee Yang, BunnyYan,  and Bjorn Wahlstrom.
